So the thoroughly modern bishop arrived with data projector, laptop, extension lead, adapters, etc. Connected it all up but what was in the laptop wouldn’t appear on the data projector. It all worked on Monday but today … nothing. Pressed all the buttons F1-12 – and all the other keys as well. After all, one never reads the instructions ..

  1. No – it was a roomful of ladies – some of whom no doubt are silver surfers. Fortunately, the task of talking for 40 minutes without the aid of technology is not one that I find particularly difficult! I shall have another struggle with it in the privacy of my own front room. Actually, I suspect that what prevented it from connecting with the data projector – which it did without my intervention on Monday – may have been the fact that the laptop was preoccupied with searching for all the things – our WiFi network/Gizmo/etc – which it would log onto at home or in the office.

  2. Normally there’s a Fn key and one or two of the F-keys that toggle between (internal, external, both), if that helps πŸ™‚

  3. Hopefully you weren’t going to talk to a class of schoolkids!!

  4. Versicle: RTFM – (Read the flippin’ manual)

    Response: I haven’t got a FM2R

Usually it comes down to switch on the projector first THEN the laptop πŸ™‚
